During experiments at the Economic Research Laboratory, you will be asked to make various decisions. The amount of money you earn in an experiment will depend on the decisions you make, and could possibly depend on decisions made by other participants in the same experiment. The decisions made by all participants will remain anonymous; that is, they will be recorded in such a way that there is no way to reconstruct which participant made which decisions.
For tax purposes, in order to receive your earnings from the experiment, we are required to ask you to provide your Social Security number. These records are for accounting purposes only, and will not be used for any other purpose.
All research conducted at the Economic Research Laboratory is reviewed and approved by the Institutional Review Board at Texas A&M University.
For any further questions regarding how your information is used and protected, contact the Director of the Economic Research Laboratory, Dr. John Van Huyck, at 845.7340 or john.vanhuyck@tamu.edu.
